The Story Behind the Clip
Because of how spooky and prophetic it sounds following his death, many casual listeners thought it was recorded right before he passed or that it was somehow AI-generated.
In reality, the audio was sampled from an older Instagram Live session recorded around June 2019. Juice WRLD was relaxing on vacation at a tropical beach with a clear blue sky behind him. He was just joking around with his fans, jokingly calling the beautiful beach setting "Heaven".
When his team put together his posthumous album in 2020, they used that specific audio clip as a moving way to give fans a sense of closure.
